Morris Yacht and Beach Club (City Island, NY)

Welcome to the Morris Yacht & Beach Club. Located on scenic City Island, New York, the Morris offers its members and their families a complete yachting facility for power and sail, a beautiful 5-acre park with a breathtaking view of Long Island Sound, a sand beach for swimming and sun-bathing, and a 100-car parking lot for easy access.

Early in the morning of March 9, 2006, a fire devastated our 150 year-old clubhouse and, even though the clubhouse is gone, the club is alive, the sunsets still warm our hearts, our spirit is strong, and our members have vowed to rebuild and make the Morris even better than before. We're calling it "Project Phoenix" and from out of the ashes, a new yacht club will rise - the ultimate facility on Western Long Island Sound.

Thanks to the hard work and support of our members, our boating seasons continue to be successful, with a full complement of staff and many exciting new events on the schedule. The beach and lawn are in great shape, the Club continues to attract new members, and our modern 25-ton boat lift system is fully operational.

We invite you to support the Morris by becoming a member. Even if you don't own a boat but are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the summer, you are welcome to join us as an Associate. Whatever form of membership is right for you, you can play a significant role in the rich history of the Morris and be a part of the rebirth.
