Members & visitors enjoy easy access to NYC, the Long Island Sound, and the Atlantic Ocean from our well-protected City Island location. Our waterfront property has a large lawn area with picnic benches, a private beach, a fishing pier, and launch operations to get you to and from your boat.

About Us

Where Every Wave Beckons With Unforgettable Memories

For more than 100 years, the Morris Yacht and Beach Club (MYBC) has been an institution on City Island, and our clubhouse a welcome landmark for sailors returning from a day, weekend, or extended cruise. Many have celebrated birthdays, weddings and other important events at our club, and some members have seen their children and grandchildren grow up and thrive here. Even members who don’t live on City Island call our community their second home.

Membership

Freedom Is Just an Anchor Away

The Morris Yacht & Beach Club is, by far, the most affordable Yacht Club in the area.

Our members have use of all facilities of the club and are permitted to keep a boat in the Morris fleet. Non-boat owners will enjoy the club’s grounds, enjoy a meal in our restaurant, have a cocktail at the bar, sit on the beach, or just take in a glorious sunset.

Members attend membership meetings, and vote on issues. By attending meetings and voting you have a voice in the governance of the club. A member can be single or can join with their family.

All children over 7 years of age are charged a nominal yearly fee.

In the winter members can store their boat at the club. We offer reasonable rates for a package of: fall haul-out, winter storage in our yard, and spring launch of your boat.

Located on the southern tip of City Island, there are stunning views of Manhattan, Long Island, and the Long Island Sound.  Morris is an ideal club for boaters, beach goers, fishermen, and people who just love to be outdoors in a gentle summer breeze.  The views from the restaurant deck at sunset are second to none in the entire region.  Scenes from the movie "City Island" were filmed at Morris.
